ADDICTION TO ADDERALL
Although Adderall brings relief for many people suffering from traumatic ADHD, the dangers of the drug are becoming more clear than ever. Due to the euphoric effects of Adderall, many people abuse the drug despite the risks. Those who begin abusing Adderall on a regular basis are likely to develop a dependence on and/or an addiction to the drug. Adderall is extremely addictive because it is derived from opiates, making it similar to morphine and heroin.

Adderall can also cause physical changes in the brain’s neurocircuitry. This can lead to altered behaviors and the development of mental disorders like depression. Some Adderall addicts become suicidal after taking the drug for a prolonged period of time.
DANGERS OF ADDERALL
The greatest danger of Adderall is a potentially fatal overdose. Adderall depresses a person’s respiration and decreases their blood pressure. This can lead to seizures, comas or cardiac arrest (especially when ingesting, snorting, or injecting crushed tablets). Adderall is most dangerous and addictive when taken via methods that increase the drug’s euphoric effects, such as crushing pills and then snorting or injecting the powder or combining the pills with alcohol or other drugs.
